Foxwynd Foundation Provides $20,000 Grant to Support Emergency Housing & Utility Assistance for Survivors at MUJER, Inc.

MUJER, Inc. is thrilled to announce a grant of $20,000 from Foxwynd Foundation that will fund emergency rental and utility assistance so survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in South Miami-Dade can secure safe housing and keep essential services connected during crisis.
As one of Miami-Dade County’s two State-certified rape treatment centers, MUJER provides a comprehensive, survivor-centered safety net through its One-Stop Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center—offering advocacy, crisis intervention, therapy, a 24/7 HelpLine, and more to hundreds of families each year.

The Foxwynd Foundation DAF funded the Foxwynd Foundation’s generous donation to MUJER, Inc, it will underwrite direct financial assistance that removes immediate barriers to safety. Over the next year, MUJER expects to provide rental assistance for approximately 20 survivors (up to $500 per household) and utility assistance for about 67 families (averaging $150 per family), helping families leave danger, avoid homelessness, and prevent service interruptions.
To expand impact even further, MUJER launched a dollar-for-dollar matching campaign up to $20,000 and three community agencies stepped up to participate in the 1:1 match doubling support for families when they need it most.
