FIU/Crusada Immigrant Outreach Project

This is a five-year collaborative between F.I.U. and MUJER. The primary focus of this program is to increase awareness among the immigrant communities of South Dade about the relevance between HIV/AIDS, Substance Abuse and Family Violence. This program incorporates a community based approach that trains people from the community to become peer educators. The ultimate goal is to develop a prevention program that incorporates feedback from the community. The program is in its planning phase.
